Navajo Indian Jewelry TURQUOISE CORAL Bear Claw SILVER Belt Buckle
Product No-1665-BB
Navajo Indian Jewelry Turquoise Coral Bear Claw Silver Belt Buckle.
This Navajo Indian Jewelry Turquoise Coral Bear Claw Silver Belt Buckle is an outstanding piece of hand made Native American jewelry. This Navajo Indian Belt Buckle features two nuggets of genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise (the Tiffany of Turquoise), a nugget of genuine Oxblood Coral, and a faux Bear Claw. The Turquoise and Coral artfully contrast one another with their natural cool and hot colors. Native American jewelry artists often use Turquoise and Coral in their work to honor the Father Sky and Mother Earth. A hand twisted Sterling Silver wire, Sterling Silver feather figures, and hand made Sterling Silver dots offer this belt buckle extra detail. Made in our shop. This Navajo Indian Belt Buckle is 2-1/2" wide and 3" long with a 1-1/2" wide keeper on the back. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo Indian jewelry artist with our hallmark.
There are many legends about Turquoise The Pima consider it to bring good fortune and strength and that it helped overcome illness. The Zuni believe that blue turquoise was male and of the sky and green turquoise was female and of the earth. Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods. The Apache felt that turquoise on a gun or bow made it shoot straight. The Navajo consider it as good fortune to wear and believe it could appease the Wind Spirit.
We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Indian art. And, we recognize it’s important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe.
